Refund Policy

TheTaxpert provides professional compliance and tax filing services. Because our work involves the time of qualified professionals and, in many cases, government filings on your behalf, our refund policy reflects the nature of service-based work.
1. Service Initiation
A service is considered "initiated" when our team begins review of your documents, assigns a Taxpert specialist to your case, or contacts you to collect additional information. This typically happens within 24–48 hours of payment receipt and document upload.
2. Eligible Refunds
You may be eligible for a full refund in the following situations:
- The service has not yet been initiated (no documents reviewed, no work begun)
- We are unable to deliver the service due to limitations on our part
- Duplicate payment for the same service
- The service was purchased in error and cancellation is requested within 24 hours of payment, before initiation
3. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- Work has been initiated or completed by our Taxpert team
- Government filing fees or statutory charges have already been paid on your behalf
- The service was delivered but you disagreed with the outcome of a tax authority decision
- Cancellation is requested after documents have been reviewed and work has begun
- Delays caused by late or incomplete document submission on your part
- Change of mind after service initiation
4. Partial Refunds
In cases where work has been partially completed and both parties agree to discontinue, a partial refund may be offered at our discretion, based on the proportion of work completed. This will be communicated in writing.
5. Government Fees
Government filing fees, MCA fees, GST portal charges, and any statutory levies paid to government bodies on your behalf are strictly non-refundable, as they are determined by and payable to the respective government authorities.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Email info@thetaxpert.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Include your registered email, service name, payment reference, and reason for refund
- We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days
- Eligible refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to your original payment method
7. Disputes
If you believe a refund has been incorrectly denied, you may escalate to info@thetaxpert.com. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this refund policy at any time. Changes will be communicated to registered users and posted on this page.
